Hi guys! Well Derek and I finally moved into our new place and it’s everything we hoped it would be! We found a gorgeous one story home in the Ahwatukee Foothills area, a really beautiful place that is nestled right into a hill. We have a backyard with a pool and we’re only a five minute walk from a park with a volleyball court and baseball field. We have taken care of all the boring stuff like wiring up the kitchen and putting cable lines in the bedrooms, so we’ve just got to get the home security system set up.
When we were in Tucson, we were with a company called Home Security Tucson so I simply googled Home Security Phoenix and found they have a branch here too! That made it way easy to simply switch our plan from one house to the next. So once that is all set up, the fun starts as I can begin decorating. We have chosen a pop art theme for the living room with some Andy Warhol paintings to scattered on the walls. Also, my beloved yellow couch is on its way from Tucson as we speak so I won’t have to rethink a color scheme either! As for the kitchen, that’s Jake’s domain so however he wants it he can have it. I haven’t thought about the bedroom yet, any ideas? We think we will be totally settled within the next month or so and then the big move in party will definitely happen! So keep a look out for the invites and keep in touch! Hope to see you all soon.

This is one of the age old questions that managers and business owners have been trying to answer as long as businesses as have been around. What exactly do you need to do in order to make people work a little bit harder? Many people have come to the right answer for this question, while others have obviously gone the wrong way with this one. The people who went awry are those who think that they best way to motivate your people is through fear. Sure, people are going to pick up their game a little bit if they fear being fired, but is this really the best way to get the most out of them?
The answer is that it’s absolutely not the best way to motivate most people. Depending upon what kind of business you run, you will probably want to implement a more team-based approach. If you can start some sort of employee recognition program to show your best people that you know they are doing a good job, you can continue to push them work harder. The goal here with this type of rewards program is to let workers know that they are more than just an expendable resource. They are, instead, a part of a team and without them, you wouldn’t be able to get the job done.

I have been looking at all kinds of different college diploma frames recently because my youngest daughter is finally going to be coming up on her college graduation here soon. I have been long waiting for this day because her older brothers and sisters graduated a long time ago. I would not say that my daughter was an accident exactly because we have enjoyed raising her very much, but let us just say we did not plan to have another child when we were in our 40s.
We had already raised seven kids, five who were boys, two who were girls. There is Peter, Jackson, Jared, Ryan, and Steve for the boys, and Carol and Anne for the girls. Peter graduated college and then went on to be a lawyer. Jackson went on to medical school to be a pediatrician and we were so proud of him because that is what his grandfather did. All the others went on to raise beautiful families. I do not know what Ruth our youngest daughter will do after school but I am sure it will be great. I am also going to get her a good graduation picture frame to help her think about all the hard work she did in college to celebrate her graduation.

Buying a new computer and printer seemed like a good idea until we got it home and tried to get it to work. The laptop was supposed to be able to communicate with the printer through the wireless network. After several hours of trying to set it up and setting up the security remote access, we gave up.
We hired a computer professional to get us up and running. Within minutes, our computer, printer, wireless internet and laptop were all communicating with one another. The printer and computer have Bluetooth adaptors to take advantage of the wireless network. Gone are the days you have to hook up one cable to a plug. Now, with security earpieces, you need to have passwords and pass codes to allow access to various networks.
Our home office is state of the art and with the new technology, we can work more efficiently and mange our personal business with greater ease. Managing our budgets and personal paperwork is easier with a printer that can be accessed from anywhere in the house. We set up our phone to use Comet series headsets and can walk around the office while talking on the telephone. Working with new technology can be frustrating but when it works, you never want to go back to living without it.

From when you first started to think about getting involved in ecommerce to the day you are actually open for business is usually quite a long journey. If you had software with a shopping cart template then you were probably able to customize it to reflect the unique aspect of your business. Once you started to build an online store then no doubt it felt that you were already in business. When you start to build a business then receiving your first secure online payment seems like a great day and you just cannot wait for your business to grow.
If you did the right kind of research to determine what your target market was then it is probable that you already have a steady client base. You no doubt stay in regular touch with your customers and send them advance notice of any special offers or discounts that you have because this is one way of staying on top of things and getting your business to grow. You will also have done some marketing and promoting your business. It is all too easy to be tempted to sit back and relax when you get to this stage but if you want your business to stay successful then you have to keep on promoting it and adding to your customer base.
