Skip the Paint Job And Use Decals
By Filly in Automotive | 0 comments
Many people enjoy customizing their vehicles, but not everyone can afford a custom paint job. There is a cheaper alternative. Custom vinyl lettering, window decals, and custom license plates all work together to add that personal touch without emptying your pockets. Many of today’s custom vinyl graphics have come a long way in the past few years. Technological advances in graphics and printing programs allow for richer color in the images, and some, when applied properly, are practically indistinguishable from an actual paint job. No matter what your budget, you can easily find a sign shop or custom car shop to do the job for you.
The easiest way to add some flair to your vehicle is with vinyl pin striping. Automotive stores sell inexpensive kits you can do yourself. Do you want something bolder? Not a problem, many graphics kits have high quality airbrushed designs, with duplicate inverted copies of the image for each side of the vehicle.
Application is easy, usually requiring only some water and a squeegee. What you do need is patience and a steady hand for applying finer decals like pin stripes or certain types of lettering. Unlike painting, if you make a mistake or don’t like the final result, simply remove the decal and start again.
