Tips for Finding Good Rental Car Prices
By MsFilly in Travel | 0 comments
A large percentage of people in the United States are going to be traveling this summer. Most of them are going to need to rent a car upon arrival at their destination. With the cost of car rentals, gas and general travel expenses all on the rise it has become more important than ever to make sure to reduce spending wherever possible.
One way to save money on travel is to make sure to do enough research to get good car rental prices. Here are some tips for reducing the cost of car rental:
- Check for the lowest prices on multiple travel portals. Don’t just rely on rental car prices at Expedia but also look at sites like Travelocity and Orbitz.
- Do a Google search for different related car rental terms. For example, try "Fort Lauderdale car rental" as well as "Fort Lauderdale rental cars" to see if this turns up different options.
- Look in nearby areas. If you don’t get good prices in Ft. Lauderdale, you may want to check out Orlando rental cars or rental cars in Tampa and adjust your flight information accordingly (although you have to calculate in the added gas costs if you do this).
The main thing that you need to remember when searching out good prices on rental cars is that you have to do a lot of comparison shopping to find a good deal. The deals are out there, though, so if you’re willing to take the time to do the research, you’ll be able to afford your travels this summer despite the rising costs.
